Viva’s success has been in leading the information and communication technology (ICT) market in Armenia. Today, the Company's portfolio covers areas all the way from traditional communication services to a wide range of innovative digital services and projects.
Viva’s long-term success is based on transparency and integrity when it comes to partner relationships. We are trusted by more than two million customers, partners, shareholders, employees and the general public. At the heart of this long-standing trust is Viva's impeccable business ethics, anchored on strict adherence to the best global principles and standards of business conduct. Viva is a leader in the ICT sector not only in terms of subscribers and revenues, but also in terms of management and business ethics in accordance with international standards. December 9 is celebrated as the International Anti-Corruption Day.
Viva’s most important achievement in respect to sustainable development is the recognition of its compliance to anti-corruption management and anti-bribery systems in accordance with the ISO 37001 and ISO 19600 international standards by the International Compliance Association certificate granted following performed audit, the systems being introduced in Armenia for the first time.
In addition, Viva is the first in Armenia to have been publishing an annual corporate responsibility report based on the standards set by the internationally commended Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The report is not limited to the description of the Company's social and environmental activities.
Viva’s operations are built on the institutional foundations of the ISO 26000 for Corporate Responsibility and the ISO 27001 for Information Security guidelines. These foundations are: information security and data privacy, efficient use and conservation of non-renewable energy resources through the use of solar energy, business ethics, community development, risk management systems, etc.
“The institutionalization of transparency, business ethics, customer orientation, responsibility and accountability standards are an important prerequisite for the existence of an effective anti-corruption system and, ultimately, long-term reputation. It is very important to realize that the implementation of international anti-corruption policy standards is primarily aimed at the early detection of various risks. The universal formula of life is applicable here, as well: problems should be prevented before they turn into a crisis. From a business perspective, compliance with ISO 37001 and ISO 19600 international standards also gives the Company a great competitive advantage. We are ready to share our experience with other companies that are also interested in using international tools to ensure sound and transparent management,” says Viva’s General Director Armen Avetisian.
